Benefits
With the optional business-building Kodak NexPress Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions, you can print gold, opaque white, dimensional raised print, accurate spot colours, clear, security features with red fluorescing dry ink or MICR, watermarking or a protective coating, and create high-impact glossing that will capture your customers’ attention and higher margin application streams for you.
A new long-sheet option expands both application flexibility and efficiency. With a 39.37” (1 meter) sheet length—the longest sheet currently available among leaders in the digital colour cut-sheet market - traditional printers are now able to print 6-page and 8-page brochures or 3-up letters, as well as deliver more impositions per page, maximising output and reducing waste.
Opaque White Dry Ink, complements the already available 9 specialty inks, delivers superior opacity in a single pass compared to multiple passes on other devices, delivering increased productivity and higher quality short run production for applications such as packaging, signage, labels and invitations. It has more than 20% higher opacity in a single pass compared to multiple passes on competitive presses.
There's also the Substrate Expansion Kit, to support heavy paperboard stocks of up to 610 microns and heavy weight synthetic stocks of up to 14 mils, available during 2017.
Plus support for sheet lengths of up to 48" / 1219 mm, again available in available 2017.
